Coach Tour Terms and Conditions

Payment Terms

All tours must be paid in full prior to departure by either credit/debit card (via the phone/website) or by cash to the crew on the day. Please note, full payment is required to confirm your booking.

Terms Validity

These terms and conditions are valid from 1 April 2016.

Pick-up/Departure Point and Times

Checking-in takes place 15 minutes prior to departure at the bus stand ZH outside of Princes Street Suites on Waterloo Place, Edinburgh EH1 3EG (continuation of Princes Street past Waverley Station). The bus stop ID number is ZH and if you are standing in the correct place, Princes Street, Waverley Station and the Scott Monument are to your left and Calton Hill and burial grounds are to your right with Apex hotels opposite you and Princess Street Suites behind you.

(Please note that this is our central Edinburgh pick-up point and our offices are not situated here.)

We are unable to wait for passengers who are late for departure.

1-day Loch Ness & Highlands Tour
Departs: 7:30 am (Returns around 7:45 pm)

1-day Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond & Whisky Tour
Departs: 8:00 am (Returns around 6:30 pm)

1-day New Lanark, Melrose Abbey & Rosslyn Chapel Tour
Departs: 8:45 am (Returns around 6:30 pm)

PLEASE NOTE: for operational purposes, any tour may be provided on a different vehicle to our full-size luxury coach with toilet and USB charging points at each seat for every tour. While we endeavour to provide our luxury coaches for every tour, this is not always possible and we will email customers informing them of the different vehicle to be used the day before any tour.


Smoking is not permitted on our vehicles, but all tours make frequent stops.


We are a family run business and are happy to allow families with young children on our tours. We have toilet facilities on our full-size coaches only, but no nappy changing facilities. Lap belts are provided for safety. (Scottish law does not require children to be secured by car seats or restraints on public transport.) Children under the age of 2 may sit on family members’ laps free of charge, but a child ticket must be paid for if you want a seat reserved. Please advise us at the time of the booking if you are bringing children under 2 years who will be sitting on your lap.


  • Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 3 days or less before departure.
  • Cancellation fee of 75% is charged if cancelled 5 days or less before departure.
  • Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before departure.
  • No cancellation fee is charged if cancelled 8 days or less before departure.

We reserve the right to cancel trips under extraordinary circumstances outwith our control. In this unlikely event, we will offer passengers the option of rescheduling their tour to another date of their choice or a full reimbursement of fares.

Filming and photography

We often take photos and videos of our tours and passengers for marketing materials. Unless you notify the driver before a tour commences, you agree to consent to any recording or image of yourselves being used for marketing purposes.

Data Protection

We will only use the information you provide when completing a booking form for our own information and statistical purposes. We may use the information provided to advise you of any changes to your tour and to request a review after the tour. We may be required to pass this information on to third parties (such as accommodation providers or other suppliers relevant to your booking). We will not, however, pass your information to anyone who is not involved in providing (or arranging the provision of) any product or service related to your booking.

Lost Tickets

You only need your booking reference number to board the bus, so please bring this with you.

Lost Property

We are not responsible for any items of property left on our vehicles. Please do not ask the crew to take care of your property whilst you are away from the coach. For items of property left on the coach at the end of the day, if found and claimed, will be returned at the passenger’s expense or can be collected from our offices at: Unit 2 Bollan Park, Peebles Road. Carnwath ML11 8HU.


Whilst the company maintains insurance covering all statutory requirements, there is no personal travel insurance included.

Accident or Loss

We have no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. We do not own or manage the boat cruises featured and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof.

What the Price Includes

The ticket price includes one seat on our tour.

Prices do not include:

(UNLESS STATED) Gratuities to guide and driver; purchases of personal items; meals; entrance to visitor attractions/boat ride; travel to or from the departure point.


All timings stated on our website, booking site or in the passenger information booklet on the coach are rough estimates only and can be impacted daily by traffic conditions, weather etc. Your driver will give you clear instructions as to when you should return to the coach after each stop, so please be punctual. Our tours operate within EU Driving Hours Regulations; therefore we are unable to wait for late-returning passengers.

The company does not accept any responsibility for any losses or expenses resulting from delays in returning to Edinburgh by the advertised time or for being late returning to the coach at any destination stop. Please be aware of this condition if you intend to travel from Edinburgh the day of your coach tour.


The crew on the tour are there to facilitate your enjoyment and experience whilst on the tour. However, in order to maintain a cost-effective tour, their remuneration is at slightly above the national wage. Should you feel that our crew have done more than can be reasonably expected to make this tour more enjoyable for you, any gratuities will be greatly appreciated at the end of your tour.

Free WiFi Access Onboard

We endeavour to provide free WiFi to passengers for use on social media sites and emails so they can keep in contact with family and share their photographs of their day. However our WiFi signal is completely dependent on the WiFi coverage of the area we are travelling through and there will be large areas where WiFi is not accessible and interruptions to WiFi access will occur.

General Conditions

Each tour operates subject to sufficient demand. In the event of ‘Places of Interest’ being closed, or road conditions en-route prevent the tour as advertised being operated, every endeavour will be made to substitute an alternative, but the we reserve the right to cancel or alter arrangements. We may, at our discretion, require any person to withdraw from any tour if we deem their acts or conduct offensive or a nuisance to crew or other passengers, and we shall have no further liability. No servant or agent of ours can vary our conditions and any such purported variation shall be of no effect unless it has been signed by one of our directors. All matters concerning this booking shall be subject to Scottish Law.
